On behalf of DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga e.V. and DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH, DFL Sports Enterprises GmbH will issue a tender for interactive entertainment products starting from the 2018/19 season. In this tender licenses in the categories Match Simulation, a game simulating a football match, E-Sport, an official competition of players and/or teams competing in a Match Simulation, and Manager Simulation, a game simulating the tasks of a club manager, will be offered.
Right packages in the categories Match Simulation and Manager Simulation offer interested companies the opportunity to obtain licenses across all platforms.
A license for the category E-Sport can only be acquired together with a Match Simulation license.
Companies interested in bidding for the rights packages can register for the tender process from today until March 27, 2017. The registration form can be downloaded at http://www.bundesliga.de/tender-interactive-games.
According to the provisional schedule, DFL Sports Enterprises GmbH will send a procedure letter to suitable companies registered properly and in time by the start of April 2017. Among other information, the letter includes the subsequent schedule and the rules of the tender process. It is further planned to provide those interested parties that meet the requirements of the procedure letter with the tender documents by the end of April. These documents detail the exact scope and content of the rights packages.

On behalf of DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga e.V. and DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH, DFL Sports Enterprises GmbH will issue a tender for the Official Match Ball starting from the 2018/19 season. The tender consists of two packages, which will be awarded for four seasons (until the end of the 2021/22 season).
The “Official Match Ball of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2” package comprises of the rights to develop, manufacture, sell and advertise the Official Match Ball, the Official Winter Ball as well as replicas of the Official Match Ball from season 2018/19 until season 2021/22. The Official Match Ball will be used in all Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 matches, in the relegation matches in which teams from both leagues play at home as well as in the Supercup competition.
The “Fan-Ball Products” package comprises of the rights to develop, manufacture, sell and advertise merchandising balls that have a different design from the Official Match Ball, but deploy Bundesliga brand insignia (e.g. Bundesliga and Supercup logos, depictions of the “Meisterschale” of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 or of the Supercup trophy).
The two tender packages can be acquired either individually or together. Thus, for the first time, the tender process will target not only companies from the sporting goods industry, but a wider group of enterprises, including toy manufacturers.

Watchmaker TAG Heuer has been named “Official Bundesliga Partner” with immediate effect and will be sponsoring TV graphics with its logo superimposed during coverage of German professional football matches. The partnership, which will initially run for three seasons up to and including the 2017/18 season, also includes the use of Bundesliga brands and content and integration in the Bundesliga digital channels, title rights to the EA Sports Virtual Bundesliga as well as the exclusive right to manufacture and market licensed Bundesliga watch and timekeeping products.
TAG Heuer is a member of the Paris-based LVMH luxury goods group and has been active for many years as a sponsor of top international sports events and athletes as well as outstanding personalities.

DFL Sports Enterprises has today granted the rights for the live transmission of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 matches for betting activities.
The betting/streaming rights have been awarded for the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons for the entire world with the exception of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, San Marino and Vatican City. The rights were again acquired by the sportsman media group agency in an auction. The acquirer of the rights operates as an agency in relations with betting service providers.
Under the betting/streaming rights, matches are broadcast live in sports betting shops and on online platforms for registered active users. The screen size and transmission quality are limited to prevent competition with conventional live broadcasts.
The license revenue per season has been significantly increased five-fold compared with the current license period. It has been agreed not to disclose the total license amount.
DFL Sports Enterprises has been awarding betting/streaming rights for non-German-speaking territories in a separate package since the 2009/10 season.

DFL Sports Enterprises has awarded the audiovisual media rights for German Bundesliga football for a further 18 countries in Europe and neighbouring regions for the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons in a media rights tender. As a result, it has more than doubled its licence income in comparison to the current rights period.
The marketing subsidiary of DFL Deutsche Fussball Liga achieved particularly high growth rates in Spain, Turkey and Greece. In Spain, the successful collaboration with pay TV market leader CANAL+ is to be continued. In Turkey, Eurosport, a subsidiary of Discovery Communications and a Bundesliga broadcaster with a proven track record in Scandinavia and Eastern Europe, was appointed as a strong new media partner in Turkey. DFL Sports Enterprises also reached a direct agreement with a broadcaster in Greece. The rights in Russia, Ukraine and ten other CIS states such as Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Kazakhstan were awarded to the sportsman media group. The agency plans to make Bundesliga football available in Russia both via conventional TV broadcasting and digital streaming platforms. In Malta, the rights were retained by the current broadcaster Melita, while the rights for Cyprus were awarded to the current broadcaster Cytavision.
"These signings prove once more that we have been able to successfully continue our strategy of placing Bundesliga football on major international media networks, thus combining quantitative with qualitative growth. These new European agreements will contribute to our more than doubling the international sales for the upcoming rights period, and will help us to exceed the EUR 150m per season mark already in the 2015/2016 season", says Jörg Daubitzer, managing director of DFL Sports Enterprises. This forecast exceeds previous prognoses, which had foreseen an increase from EUR 70 million to EUR 140 million per season.
In this tender process, audiovisual media rights have been awarded for the following 18 countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Greece, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malta, Moldova, Russia, Spain (including Andorra), Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Belarus and Cyprus. The rights are assigned on a platform-neutral basis and for the applicable national language. Financial terms were not disclosed.
In contrast to previous practice, the audiovisual media rights were only awarded for two seasons in this tender. This synchronises the European license term with the national licensing period, which expires at the end of the 2016/2017 season.

Over the coming weeks, DFL Sports Enterprises will award International Audiovisual Media Rights for Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 on behalf of the League Association. Following a tender process, rights will be awarded for seasons 2015/16 and 2016/17 in various European territories and neighboring states. DFL Sports Enterprises intends to invite bids for the following 18 countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cyprus, Georgia, Greece, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malta, Moldova, Russia, Spain (including Andorra), Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
Interested parties have to register for participation in the award process until 17 September 2014, 12 p.m. (noon) CET. Registrations may be submitted exclusively using the Registration Form available at www.bundesliga.com/tender.
Beginning 18 September 2014, all registered parties will receive the Tender Documents. The deadline for all bids will be 1 October 2014, 12 p.m. (noon) CET.

DFL Sports Enterprises (DFL SE) has awarded Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 licensing rights in the category of interactive entertainment products for three additional seasons.
This decision sees the continuation of the Bundesliga’s successful partnership with Electronic Arts, which first began in 1998. Electronic Arts will receive exclusive licensing rights for match and manager simulations for seasons 2015/16 to 2017/18. In addition, Electronic Arts has been granted the exclusive right to organize the official "Virtual Bundesliga" competition.
In addition, DFL SE has awarded a license to Netherlands-based company Gamebasics. This license covers manager simulations in the German, Turkish and Arabic languages. Gamebasics operates the Online Soccer Manager, which according to the company is one of the world's largest football manager games.
The licenses awarded cover games across a variety of platforms and operating systems. These include PC, tablet, smartphone, and browser games. The match simulation license awarded to Electronic Arts extends beyond this and also comprises gaming consoles.
In the category of stickers and trading cards, Topps Germany will remain the Bundesliga's official licensee for seasons 2015/16 to 2018/19. Topps has been awarded rights applicable for classic stickers and trading cards, as well as for the first time a digital trading card game.
In the category of digital stickers, DFL SE will cooperate with 2stic, a specialist in this field, over the coming years. 2stic has previously created and produced a number of digital sticker collections for various football clubs and motor sports teams. This list of references includes Borussia Dortmund, Juventus FC, Manchester City and McLaren.
The contracts were awarded in an open, transparent and non-discriminatory tender procedure on behalf of DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga and Die Liga - Fußballverband. All parties involved have agreed not to disclose financial terms.
